Ms. Dawes graduated summa cum laude from the University of New Mexico School of Law in 2003, and then served as a law clerk to the Honorable Harris L Hartz of the United States Court of Appeals for the Tenth Circuit. She joined the firm as an associate in 2004, and became a shareholder in 2008.

Ms. Dawes is admitted to practice is the state and federal courts of New Mexico and the United States Court of Appeals for the Tenth Circuit.
